Shades of Grey takes on Black Cat
From the Author:
“I’ve been waiting to do this for months, and the day I complete it, Mayoi Neko Overrun gets canceled. Huh. I guess overall, it didn’t affect much, but it’s still an odd thing to think about.
This is my first review, and I’ll be honest and say it isn’t the best. I mostly made it to see what a finished Youtube/Blip video would look and sound like so I would know what to fix. Already I can see problems with the microphone feedback (you may want to lower the volume), and Windows Movie Maker is not the best program to make manga reviews in. I should have After Effects for the next video.
So while I would like constructive criticism, I’m mainly looking for it in regards to the reviewing style. I’ll ask for video advice once I hammer out the issues I already know are there.
But, to end on a positive note, I do plan on making more reviews, and I can easily say the quality will only go up. I have a lot more planned for the future.”
Very informative and formal, like you’ve been doing this for a while, if so I might just go and seek out your other reviews.
I don’t suggest shoehorning a catchphrase if you can’t think of one.
Having just read the accompanying text I can see you have skill with editing and analysis. You should continue with this.
Well done my good man. Quality of this level is to be applauded.
I shall seek out other reviews of yours, most definately.
Wow, I really did not expect this when I posted the video. Thanks, you guys.
Well, uh…I guess I’d better get back to work on the next one.
You’d best. Or swift vengeance will be had.
Regarding constructive criticism of your reviewing style, I don’t particularly have any. You did a fine job. What caught my attention is the way you ended by specifically laying out who you do and don’t recommend the manga to. That’s good. Don’t change that.
Thanks a lot. I’ve posted this video in a few places, and I’ve gotten quite a few positive comments about the recommendations. It was one of the big reasons I wanted to make my own reviews, and it’s actually one of the reasons the series is called Shades of Grey, so I’m glad people like it.
