Well, I'm curious as to how many people here have read Noblesse, and their thoughts on it.
For those who don't read it/ haven't heard of it, Noblesse is a Korean webtoon which is being translated by fans with the permission of the creators.
You can find it on manga sites, in the manhwa section.

My personal thoughts on it are thus: While it definitely feels different from your run-of-the-mill shonen, it still hasn't diverted enough from the traditional formula to be truly unique.
The colored art, the strange style of humor, and the dull tones of the color made reading it a strange experience for me.
I feel as though I could care more about it if it actually drew me further into the art- but the greyish color scheme really doesn't pull me into the action: in fact, I feel as though I'm skimming over everything, even if I stare and stare at a panel.
That's not to say the action and characters are boring to look at- not at all.
It's just strangely visually uninteresting.
And the humorous parts really weren't funny until about chapter 50-something. All of the sudden, BAM! The humor picked up, changed it's style and really got a laugh out of me.
The characters aren't really very developed- in fact, the person who got the most development is a side character. We know almost nothing about the main.
Speaking of the main... he doesn't speak. Much.
This actually helps the manhwa to feel unique- everyone just orbits around this silent, mysterious character who's always off in his own world. People assume they have to do this and that for him, yet he never asks them to.
Is this good? Not necessarily, but it's definitely different.
There are more things I could go into, but I'd like to hear other people's thoughts, should they happen to have read the manhwa.
In conclusion, Noblesse by all accounts shouldn't be good, but somehow is.
It's a strange, strange beast.

I almost thought you were going to talk aobut Eden of the East based on that title. XD

I have never heard of this series before nor have I ever about a series's creator letting his fans translate his work, so I can't really say much about this series. I'll keep in mind if I ever run into it.

You must not have heard of 1/2 Prince either, then. The writer of that light novel is letting fans translate it to English as well.

I've actually heard of 1/2 Prince, but I wasn't aware of that fact.
