In solo top, he is effectively Nidalee but can switch at level 1. In Bot lane, he deals insane damage by switching between ranged and melee with Acceleration Gate/Shock Blast in ranged, shift to Hammer and To the Skies/Auto Attack for massive damage.

no mana issues in the jungle because of his Hammer W.

and now Malphite is getting nerfed. Pretty funny since a lot of people started using him now as they realized that he's actually pretty good.

Also, people sure do love those Teemo skins.

From what I have seen so far, it looks like a lot of the newer players like Teemo while most of the older ones hate him.

Because bad experience mostly.

Teemo is a noob friendly champ like Garen. Easy to play, not hard to master.

But unlike Garen, even in high elo play he is annoying because people build him tanky and with Malady, Nashors and some other items and make him into an on-hit menace with nearly global map awareness, because Shrooms OP.

This except the mushrooms op thing.

He's never been op just really *dolphin noise* annoying.
