You have to give us a reason to go there.

What will we get if we go there?
Is the community active for the whole day?
Does it consist of nothing more that just random smilies, l33t speak and poor reddit memes?
etc etc.

We know nothing, what you need to do is advertise the IRC.

Fair enough. I get tired of those too in all honesty. Occasionally we get all sir up in that place and talk about the representation of minorities in media.

I'm talking on the forums now. and have posted on a few threads, Raven post her reviews here, Lunar post regularly from what I can tell, ect.

This is not about a blame game, these are helpful suggestions and incentives you want to see. Vinyl Wasp actually brought up a few points, of which I'm trying to address. I will also remind you that this is a live chat and people do idle in there. Stick around if you don't see people talking, they will eventually.

Raven is an admin, it would be pretty odd if she didn't post here and the amount of time to post and the amount of time on the IRC is different.

To be fair, the conversations just don't peak my interests sometimes. While i'm not a hater of neither fanbase and have been able to enjoy them at times, there has mainly just been MLP and Tokusatsu talk whenever i'm on.

That's mainly because fans of my stream hang out there, and I know they're cool people. ^_^

Sahoni, you're doing a good job with the IRC right now. One thing I would like to see more of is post-stream get-togethers. Back when the streams were new, the IRC was a great place to crash when they finished. I could promote the IRC more often on the streams, since I've been getting new fans that aren't aware of the community. I'd recommend other streamers do this as well, even if they don't go into the IRC often.

They mostly yell at me for whatever I showed that week. Hippo puppet tits, Ron Jeremy's alien possessed killer dick, zombies sniping snipers with rocket launchers...

Actually, that last one was pretty awesome. Some of Sahoni's stuff does tend to chip away at one's soul but he knows this already.

On the subject of the IRC and forum being seperate communities, I can only say that I don't have much to say a lot of the time. Also, I've probably been less than polite in the chat and for that I apologise and promise not to be a douche in future.

I usually just zone out of such discussions, as I'm all that big a fan of either.

I would also like to get the IRC more active hell I even tried making Hot Times for it a while a ago to get more people.

I think what will help is adding a feature on the forum that showed who was currently in the IRC both active and idle. Seeing the names of exactly who is there will definitively boost the amount of people who visit.

I think I brought up having the chat built into the forums before but several people shot it down.

I than ate a gallon of ice creme in sadness.

I'd say probably not a good idea if for no other reason than the fact IRC is easier to fix and manage overall then some flash-based chatroom. But Durga does bring up a good idea. I think if we have people coming in after streams it will give people both an idea of when is good to come on and who might be in the room.

I'm also looking into putting a game bot in there.

If you unban me I'll endorse it in my streams~ 'course I only get like 8 viewers per stream so far but that's still people. Also Plot, and Ratmn may want to note they were never banned from the D2 IRC because they weren't inline when the banning took place. Same with Zab but he already knows.

EDIT: It also helps the forums that it at least has multiple cliques, so you'll always fit in with someone.

Also anyone remember that awesome religeon discussion that Prof had to come in and break up? If that happened all the time I'd always be there, I think if that were irl it would have been a fist fight~
