I've seen this entire series and I fully agree with everything you said.

With that out of the way, do you happen to have an idea what was with that weird episode that was in virtual reality or something where there was like a butt ugly woman who might have been a female version of Serge? Because that episode still greatly confuses me.

To be perfectly honest, I just stopped caring when that happened. Its just more backwards doofyness that didn't go anywhere.

I would say that weirdness is half the fun of Anime but wow! That just sounds too weird!

Herp derp 80s. I remember seeing ads for shows like battle arena toshindon in magazines when I was growing up. Thank god those weren't what got me into anime or I might hold some misplaced sense of nostalgia for this dross.

Also: Am I the only one who feels like the titles for these things were chosen using a bag of scrabble tiles? I don't believe for a second that word salad makes any more sense in Japanese than it does in English. In protest I will henceforth replace all 80s anime titles with randomly selected strings of words.

So what did everybody else think of Sink Juggler Odessa?

It went down the tubes when they introduced the Super Juggler state. They'd run out of ideas. It was supposed to be about the adventures of the sink juggling, not what your juggling level was!

So what'd you all think about the Profette bits? Funny, unneccessary, weird?

I must say, they seemed a little forced to me.

I'd say the script was the problem. It felt forced, mainly reminding everyone who she is when a simple "Oh...it's you >_>" would have done the job. A secondary character who's supposed to be an annoyance to the main character should take center stage or hang around, the main character shouldn't try to talk with them until forced. Basically, she would have been more effective as a member of the peanut gallery who butt in at the right moments.

That said, I do like the character, she's funny. Just gotta work on getting secondary characters in a bit better during scripting.
