So...there's rumor going around that Romney might pick Condelleza Rice as his VP. While I get that...kinda....I wouldn't touch anyone from the Bush years with a 30 foot cattle prod. Far too much stigma there.

Actually I think that would be the bet possible choice: Female, Black, experience in Government.


And frankly when I think back people like Wolfowitz, Powell and Cheney seem way more controversial. I think she is the only person out of that period that I don't view with ire.

It's a bad idea. The stigma against Bush even among Republicans is not pretty. It would instantly be the nail in the coffin for the Republicans in this race.

Picking anyone from the Bush administration would drive away any moderates and would basically spell a death sentence for any republican attempting to get swing voters.

The reasons Dark and Vinyl pointed out are how I feel too. Like I said, anyone who had connections to Bush is political poison, even if they might be good for the position.

That ad Obama's group put up with Romney singing the anthem while showing how he rips off the working man is hilariously brilliant. That's the sort of thing I would expect from Jon Stewart's guys.

I know this is old news by now but please, people, vote for Obama, for the good of the world. He has his faults, everyone does but he's been a very good president ( you'll only recognize this latter but it's true ) and the country and the whole world need his sort f politics.
The republicans want to start armageddon and end the world in the name of their twisted beliefs that say women should be second class people and poor people treated as organic fertilizer. They will bring back all that was wrong with the pre cold war America and then some. If you want to live in a free democratic society then don't vote for the man preparing to go to war with everyone in the world and then say nuclear holocaust is the will of God.
