Just wanted to give a quick heads up that later on today / tonight the entire website is going to be moving from it's current location to a brand spanking new server.

What does this mean? What will change?

Currently nothing, while we do have plans for changes in the coming weeks this server move is doing nothing to change any functionality of the site.

However it does mean that for a time tonight either the site, the forums, or both will be inaccessible for a short period of time as we make sure that everything gets moved over properly. So just a warning if you try to connect later and it's all: 404! and your like "WHYYYYYY?!?!?!"

So no freaking out.

**UPDATE (Feb 19th 11:05PM)**
Looks like the server move is going to have to be rescheduled. An error keeps occurring when trying to attach the domain names to the new server, most likely because of how we ended up locking them down after the hack last spring. So therefore I need to wait until the domain specialist get's in tomorrow morning before I can do anything. I'll keep you all updated.

If we are very lucky only a few minutes, if not then a few hours. It's going to take as long as it needs to until I've made sure that everything is in fact running on the new server and everything is working properly.

so what time is this happening?

Honestly this is good thing and I wouldn't even care about the down time if it meant that we get some faster running servers cause the slow down here is a bit of a nightmare to deal with.

Sometime tonight-ish

I'd expect it sometime after 10PM EST. There will be an announcement made when everything is done.

And if we're unlucky, then it all goes horribly wrong and will take several days.
