I didn't care for this show when it first came out, but it is nice to see Funimation giving their lesser-known actors more work.

I barely know any of these people. Don't know whether that's good or bad. Either way, the series really isn't good enough to me to warrant a purchase.

Never seen the show, but I take it they tried to play it safe to test it in this show considering this isn't a popular title compared to some of their others licenses.

Possible, but considering the fact that Yen Press also licensed its manga, I think the show may be a bit more popular than you'd think. It is an ecchi comedy show after all, and those tend to rake in the most money for Funi outside standard action shonen like FMA.
