Hey there Desudes Brigade Fans!

The site has been kind of dead lately, community-wise. We have a handful of people who post regularly, but the community activity have been low for a couple of months, so we have to stop and think: Why?
Are you all that busy, or have you found somewhere else to go to? Or is it the site itself that repels you in some way?

No matter the answer, we’re going to change all that. Since 3.0 was rushed due to the hacking, we’re going to be working on a Desudes Brigade Site 3.5 with an all-new template, but that’s not all. We’ve heard from plenty of you that you wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer for a video if that meant better quality when it debuted: Well, seeing as how this site is run by college kids, we’ve decided to drop our daily release schedule for a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and weekends schedule. There will be no site content up on Tuesdays and Thursdays to give the Brigade a bit more time between work, school, and the website rather than rush things or force out last-minute stuff.

Upon the unleashing of site 3.5, we will also be opening up places for site affiliation to any of our fans. That means if you have a blog, your own review website, or any anime fan site, feel free to send us a link and a banner and we’ll send you one of ours! For those of you who just review stuff on YouTube, don’t worry – the Brigade will have a new YouTube account that will give weekly updates of what’s on the site and much more, so you can link to us that way and again, we’ll link back to you!

And of course, there’s plenty more to look forward to – it’s just top secret! But what we need from you guys are your honest answers to the following questions. The Desudes Brigade is for you guys – so tell us what you want, and we’ll make it happen!

I visit the website daily. It's to the point where D2 has become my most visited website on chrome XD

Well I got over 800 post at this time and I've only been on for about six months XD

Please add video supoort to the forum, it would make things allot easier for AMV's and Reviews.

I would like to see more of the brigade active on the forums. I know we all have lives, but your opinions are valued and I would like to chat with you guys every now and then :3

At least every day if I can help it. If I am especially busy I miss a day but I'm pretty regular. I might not watch a review because of lack of time, but I do try and visit to see what is happening.

Not very often admittedly and don't pay much attention to them.

Maybe the set up? More tgwtg style. Kinda frustrating when I can't get farther back into reviews if I miss a few of them.

JO: Love her, though I feel like she is more part of TGWTG now than D2. Wanted an honest opinion, that's what we have.
Prof: Snarkiness at its finest.
Ark: Love his style and I find him hilarious.
Hitch: Getting used to him gradually. Kinda weird having new members but I'm getting there.
Kagami: Haven't seen her for a while but I do enjoy her AMVs
Rabbit: More of the "Nella" of Vix's reviews than a reviewer as of late, been a little while since I've seen something of hers (and yes, I know school year is starting back up and that probably has something to do with it).
Vix: I love seeing how she is developing as a reviewer. Made leaps and bounds in her quality since the start of the site.
Malakye: Wish I would see more of him than I do.

Ummm, maybe 2-3 times a week, this site started during a year where I had tonnes of spare time but now I have study and other commitments. It's still my 4th most visited website though,

Once every two weeks or so; I am just busy with work mostly.

I'd probably add a few colour swap templates for the forums.

Nothing comes to mind. Keep up what you are doing now!

I'm not very fond of the contrast between the main site and the forums colours. Its like WOO cheerful straight into Grim dark black.

I am visiting D2 on a regular basis as this is now the place I go to for actual interaction with users on a similar subject and entertaining content. There were some places who I have ties to, but not as tight and community based like this and I'm grateful to be partially apart of it.

At the risk of having a different opinion than others, I've shut myself off from the forums just because of shyness. I would like to change that however.

3. If you could change anything at all, what would you change about the site?

Nothing seems wrong at the moment. Everything flows right and very well organized.

4. What would you like to see more of?

I'm fine with what you have now. The more of would be more of the same that has been churning down the pipe.

It's not so much the less of, and more of the more of. If that makes sense, then you are doing a good job.

In no particular order:

Prof: The kind of snark I can get behind. Plus hes casually friendly and glad to have met him, but meeting him would also be cool.
Vixen, JO: I don't know much about you outside of your reviews and you seem to interact more often enough with the usual cast of users. Not so much with me. I ask that if you need any content at all, let me know. I would like to at least get both of you as clients and friends.
Arkada: We need to talk you fine young Canadian. I can forgive you for bringing us Bryan Adams. I can forgive you for bringing us Celine Dion and me avoiding her by the skin of my teeth. I can ever forgive you for bringing us the insufferable Avril Lavigne, but not taking up my offer of Clannad After Story as an equal way to piss off Prof is unforgivable.
Malakye: If you ever come up to Fanime or are in the area, let's get together and discuss how to take up Operation Stoner Cleansing and replace them with robot girls. Oh and keep up the good work.
Rabbit, Hitch, Kagami: Rabbit, review Usagi Drop, Hitch needs content and I'm the guy to go to for it, Kagami, don't know that often and that goes for all 3 of you. That needs to change.
Tsubake: As an reundead person who has died of heat stroke working at an amusement park, I am obligated to tell you to stop with the skinsuit bashing. I already have a hard time being nothing more than a shadow to society. Plus the whole zombie craze and end of the world is just starting to get on my nerves. People are too delusional on the fact that it is the dead in which they have the desire to kill. And as I have stated, it is hard to kill someone who has no life. Besides, you still haven't answered my question. Stop ragging on all the humans like they are sheep to the slaughter. We all know the only "meatbags" out there are the obsessively religious... that and jocks. Kill those people instead.

You guys are doing a bang up job and balancing this and college is something many people can't pull off.

Only once. I'm not the best writer with the best opinion. There are many opinions that make up someone and I'm not the right person to write it down at the cost of the most minor of mistakes.

I am interested in affiliating my site with yours. As a budding business with a reputation as a Rare Game Hunter branching out, I want to help with whatever content is needed. Plus, whatever can't be found, I would like to help find it. Plus I would like to how they say, hook up you guys with some other people I know outside of your community. Also by doing reviews you would be either be promoting or exploiting whats good or bad and there needs to be a site to where the unexpected sap can buy it outside of the usual suspects. If you ever have a way to affiliate Rarefindit for your site, I would be eternally grateful.

I am not often enough one that delves into podcasts. Maybe it's not my thing.

You guys, the users, the streams, the IRC that I can actually get behind, and the interaction of a well knitted community that you guys seem to have. Not even animeacademy can pull that one off anymore.

Seriously, if you are in need of anything at all, I be glad to help out to the best of my ability. Lastly, try to plan a trip to Fanime next year. Get almost everyone to go and let's have a good time. You know, try out something different for once. That is all.

I personally come here for the community, not the videos. But what I do watch are Ark, Kit-Suki, Prof, JO, Pocky Spot, and that's it. And I usually only watch those when it sounds interesting, like any other vid on the net. Prof's Ninja Nonsense review was fun.

Prof: He is super Jesus. Seriously he is badass. If it wasn't for him none of this would exist and he's freaking hilarious. Also pretty much any show I've checked out that he said was good has been 100% correct. Seriously Buso Renkin, Clannad, Midori Days.

Arkada: Manly man of manliness. The amazing Canadian with a similar taste of anime as mine. If you couldn't tell by this point I am an Ark fanboy.

Vixen: She seems to be the only one who can take care of the trolls. In a hilarious way too Vix is under-rated in my opinion :/

JO: Snarky red text is snarky. I will say though I haven't been finding her reviews as good as they used to be, it might just be me but whatever. I think something has changed :/

Malakye: He should do more. I like Mal. He seems like a cool dude but he doesn't really pop up on the forums and he doesn't post as much content as I hoped he would :/

Kagami: Consistently great AMVs! Seriously I hate some of the songs in her AMVs but for some reason when I watch them it's like the ahte goes away. It's weird ^^;

Rabbit: I love To Read Or Not To Read. Haven't checked Between the Lines or By the Quill but I'm sure they're great(I think I'll check them out today actually ^_^)

Hitch: Hitch gets too much hate. And that sucks because he's a funny dude. He just needs to find a way to shut the haters up. Or get him more fans. Either way he's really under-rated. He'll get his fanbase though. Just you wait people...Just you wait...

I'm all for this. Honestly I think I said it before too where I don't mind if someone is late. So yeah I'm all for it. If it means you all have more time for stuff then go for it.
